Dax Data is offering partners Adobe’s Value Incentive Plan (VIP) subscription-based licensing programme for its newly launched Creative Cloud for Teams Suite.
Designed for companies of all sizes, VIP membership marks a significant move on the part of Adobe away from traditional licensing models to the new user-friendly, subscription-based model. With VIP membership, no minimum license purchase is required, management is easy, deployment immediate and compliance is automatic.
A 20% deal registration opportunity is a major drawcard for resellers keen to secure extra revenue. To take advantage of this, the minimum deal registration threshold for VIP opportunities is five units of Creative Cloud for Teams (full year or pro-rated partial year subscriptions).
“We’re delighted to announce the sale of Creative Cloud via the VIP subscription service,” says Jeremy Matthews, MD, Dax Data.
“This new offering makes it easier for our customers to access the very latest Adobe software immediately at a lower cost, while providing the on-going value our customers have come to expect from us. The deal registration opportunity is also a particularly generous incentive for resellers.”
Alongside the product release, Adobe has revealed a new reseller portal which marks a major change in the reseller/customer relationship. Resellers are now able to manage customers from a simple Web-based console; they can invite customers to join VIP, where after a hard connection exists between the two.
Access for customers is fast and easy; purchase orders are eliminated and invoicing requirements are all managed via the portal.
“The VIP model lends itself to a more secure relationship between reseller and customer as the partner is able to focus on the service element of his customer’s needs rather than being hindered by financial considerations,” says Matthews. “It’s a very different means of purchasing to the past but international reports indicate that feedback has been extremely positive so far.”
The Creative Cloud for Teams Suite is a complete collection of Adobe’s Creative Suite 6 products and includes Acrobat XI, Lightroom 4, Edge and Muse. Customers receive updates of each product immediately they’re released.
The suite is competitively priced via an annual subscription fee payable in advance. Existing customers, who own CS3 or later, will receive a discount on their first year of Creative Cloud for Teams.
