Commercial refrigeration and asset management experts SABCOOL have appointed Gold Certified Microsoft ERP Partner AccTech Systems to deploy an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to support their refrigeration service delivery contracts across Africa.
“We provide a wide range of refrigeration solutions enabling our clients to concentrate on their core business activities,” says Werner van Wyk, manager of Information Systems at SABCOOL.
“We pride ourselves on our quality workmanship and service level commitments and our rapid expansion required us to strengthen our operational systems. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012’s strong financial, operational and service management features will assist SABCOOL to ensure our clients continue to receive the service levels they’ve become accustomed to,” says Van Wyk.
SABCOOL relies on a dedicated team of field technicians to repair and maintain a wide range of refrigerators, walk-in-coolers, and related cooling equipment across the country. Through the deployment of the mobile server and application these field technicians will have their schedules and instructions available at their fingertips as well as be able to submit realtime call resolution and billing information.
“We support various customers with service level agreements and as such we need to guarantee response times,” says Van Wyk.
“Once deployed, Microsoft Dynamics AX will provide our head office with full visibility on all logged calls and the progress made on each call. Issuing of maintenance stock and inventory management is always a challenge in such a technical industry and the new system will ensure that the process of support is properly managed and tracked through the entire logistics process.”
Kethan Parbhoo, Dynamics lead for Microsoft South Africa, says the deployment of an ERP solution and selection of a deployment partner goes far beyond just the technical fit of the solution.
“Whilst taking into account the customer’s existing processes, the selected partner and software solution needs to align the customer’s processes to industry best-practice guidelines. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012’s role-tailored user experiences drive the information, tasks, and insights relevant to specific job functions.
“By putting the resources you need most right at your fingertips and ensuring that the solution works seamlessly with the Microsoft productivity tools customers are already familiar with, you can help your people work better, faster, and smarter right from the start,” says Parbhoo.
Tertius Zitzke, CEO of AccTech Systems concurs.
“Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 delivers rich, prebuilt, industry-operational functionality out of the box, with proven capabilities for manufacturing, distribution, retail, public sector, and service industries. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 will give SABCOOL more visibility into their business, allowing them to establish a strong platform on which to build their already impressive international support infrastructure.”
