Fontera Digital Works, one of South Africa’s only independent development houses with an international footprint, has developed a innovative mobile soccer application for the iPhone and Android mobile devices called My Soccer Life.
The application is aimed at the growing number of smartphone users in Africa and gives the user live soccer scores, results and fixtures from all the major soccer competitions anywhere in the world.
It’s a very simple app; the landing page displays all the games played on that day for all the top soccer competitions in the world, with either the kick-off time, a live score or a final result, depending on what time it is.
Users can move forwards to see upcoming fixtures and backwards to see results of past games. More content is planned for both the free version and for a premium, paid-for version coming soon.
“As both an experienced international development studio and a group of soccer fans, our knowledge of both areas allowed us to develop a relevant application that gives soccer fans what they want when they want it.
“My Soccer Life is the first global app of its kind that allows soccer lovers to keep up to date with all the top leagues and competitions around the world and is aimed at an African audience,” says CEO of Fontera Digital Works, Simon Leps.
The app is simple to use and allows the user to sort through fixtures and scores either in realtime, or per day. Images and extra data have been kept to a minimum to accommodate users in Africa who are mainly prepaid users, so they can access all the information they need at as low a data cost as possible.
This application can be downloaded for free either from the iTunes store for iOS users, or from the Google Play or the Amazon Store for Android users.
