Microsoft will demonstrate the much-anticipated “Blue” iteration of Windows 8 – widely expected to be the convergence of mobile and PC operating systems – next month.
Julie Larson-Green, corporate vice-president for Windows, yesterday told delegates to the Wired Business Conference that Windows Blue will be previewed at the Build event in June.

The new version of Windows 8 is being touted as the next step in the journey to mobility.

Earlier this year, chief marketing officer Tami Reller described it as an update that builds on the Windows 8 vision to deliver the next generation of tablets and PCs.

“It will deliver the latest new innovations across an increasingly broad array of form factors of all sizes, display, battery life and performance, while creating new opportunities for our ecosystem,” she says.
