Huawei has launched the Huawei Ascend G510, an ergonomically designed smartphone measuring just 9,9mm thin and featuring a 1,2Ghz dual-core processor.

The Huawei Ascend G510 measures 67mm wide and features a textured surface for a secure grip. Bringing movies and videos to life in the palm of your hand, the Huawei Ascend G510 features a multi-touch FWVGA IPS 4,5-inch screen, with 854*480 resolution and digital sound, for an all-round movie theatre experience.

The Huawei Ascend G510 also features a 5MP auto focus rear facing camera with LED flash and 0.3MP front camera.

With Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI, users can customise the G510 homescreen via the Me Widget, enjoy cloud storage services and experience enhanced entertainment when connecting to a TV screen via AirSharing.

The Huawei Ascend G510 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The new device offers a wide range of high speed wireless functionalities including HSDPA/HSUPA network, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 A2DP stereo, ensuring you are always connected.

In addition, the Huawei Ascend G510’s long-lasting 1750mAh battery features power saving technology, enabling up to 14 days of standby time (3G), while its base station auto-search technology, allows for faster signal detection.

The Huawei Ascend G510 offers a Talkback App which offers audible menu commands, explore by touch functionality and a host of features suitable for the sight impaired.

The phone comes in phantom black and ceramic white and will be available in South Africa through Vodacom, Edgars or CNA store nationwide in July.
