A new International Data Corporation (IDC) MarketScape report has ranked 13 leading vendors participating in the worldwide cloud professional services market.
IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Cloud Professional Services 2013 Vendor Analysis evaluated the following vendors: Accenture; Capgemini; Cisco; CSC; Dimension Data; Fujitsu; Hewlett-Packard; IBM; Infosys; Microsoft; PwC; Unisys; and Wipro.

A majority of the vendors earned recognition for the overall strength of their capabilities, although buyers felt most vendors had certain areas that require further improvement. These improvements would elevate a vendor’s position in the cloud professional services market and would eventually help attract buyers.

The IDC MarketScape methodology placed Accenture and IBM in the Leaders category.

“Vendors in this MarketScape generally received their highest marks from buyers in the areas of providing technical insights and competence,” says Gard Little, research director: IT consulting and systems integration strategies at IDC.

“The lowest scores were typically for managing vendor staff turnover during a project’s lifetime. Providers who excel at managing these transitions more effectively will increase customer satisfaction, and ultimately, demand for their services.”
