For the second time, MTN is being recognised nationally as the leader in best servicing its customers through its innovative retail stores. MTN has been announced as a winner of the esteemed and annual Times/Sowetan Retail Awards in the Telecommunications Stores category.
“We are very invigorated with this recognition, confirming our continuous effort to deliver an excellent customer experience store by store,” Farhad Khan, chief consumer sales and distribution officer at MTN, says.

“Creating a positive, lasting customer experience, one that resonates in the hearts and minds of all new, existing and potential customers, is a differentiator that we provide through MTN-branded customer experience. Furthermore, our new mission: to make our customers’ lives a whole lot brighter, means easier engagements with MTN such that all our customers are MTN promoters everywhere they go.”

On the backdrop of world-class network, MTN has many areas that provide end-to-end customer sales and service. MTN also provides a high volume repair centre, which boast advanced technical equipment and people who are committed to customer satisfaction.

MTN also has Branded Retail Channel Stores, which are walk-in stores based national, which offer customers a one-stop service covering sales and service elements.

The prestigious and annual Times/Sowetan Retail Awards in their fifth year serves as a vital barometer of consumer sentiment for retailers. People are more aware of value, and are now more likely to change their retailer than before if that retailer does not perform.

“As with the 2011 Times/Sowetan Retail Award, this award is further recognition to the MTN team for raising the bar every year,” concludes Khan.

MTN has received a number of accolades this year. Earlier this year, MTN has been ranked as an Icon Brand in the 2013/14 TGI Icon Brand Survey, won the Ask Afrika Orange Index 2013 Award in the Telecommunication Provider and Internet Service Provider categories as well as top the list of South Africa’s top telecommunication brands.
