Network Platforms has extended its promotion of complimentary 1u of rack space via Teraco data centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg for businesses that invest in its bandwidth.
Customers are eligible to take advantage of this promotion if they take out 2Mb of uncontended bandwidth, billed at R2 200.00 per month.
The uncontended bandwidth is 1:1 on local and international, and international cable systems used include SAT3, WACS, EASSY and Seacom.
The bandwidth is redundant and available on all the above cable systems, with peering at the local exchanges.
“We can also offer contended services with contentions of 1:4 and 1:10, with a minimum of 5Mb and 10Mb respectively,” says Warwick Ward-Cox, MD of Network Platforms.
He adds that 1:4 is priced at R575.00 per 1Mbps, while 1:10 is priced at R250.00 per 1Mbps.
The company also caters for customers that wish to invest in rack space exclusively, without the bandwidth. Rack space can be sold at cost price with power, which can be hosted in a shared rack or in a lockable allocated rack space.
In June 2013 the company completed the move of its entire data centre infrastructure from its old environment to its current location, Teraco in Isando.
Teraco offers neutral data centres and co-location facilities throughout the country.
