Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) is expanding its Huawei product portfolio with the addition of a range of video conferencing (VC) and telepresence solutions for all sizes of business. These products will augment the existing Huawei products available from DCC, enabling the distributor to offer an end-to-end solution with hardware and software engineered to work together for increased efficiency and value for money.
“VC is currently experiencing major growth in South Africa due to more available and affordable bandwidth. Solutions are also developed that cater to limited broadband, and are more affordable, opening this technology to the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) market. This means that local organisations of all sizes are poised to take advantage of the benefits of VC such as reduced travel, improved productivity and realtime personal interactions.
“The addition of Huawei’s VC range enables us to cater to this growing need. The Huawei platform is engineered to make use of reduced bandwidth, making it ideal for the South African market,” says Zubair Loonat, Huawei Enterprise product manager at DCC.
DCC will now be offering an end-to-end cost-effective, entry level Huawei solution, which means customers can leverage a single point of contact for a full VC solution, both hardware and software. All products have been tested for compatibility and interoperability. All platforms within the Huawei offering are able to integrate effortlessly for a seamless user experience.
The Huawei solution is also able to integrate with third party solutions such as Microsoft Lync, further extending functionality and leveraging a company’s existing investment.
“VC is a new market for us, and by including these products in our portfolio we are opening up new revenue streams which have previously been untapped. The same holds true for our resellers – they will now have access to new markets and opportunities with our expanded solution portfolio.
“In addition, offering VC and telepresence solutions is the perfect opportunity to also deliver hardware and other complementary systems, which will lead to cross-selling opportunities for our resellers, enabling them to increase sales and improve margins,” Loonat adds.
