Infor’s constant innovation and development is transforming the face of ERP in South Africa and aiding leading local businesses to provide world class services to their customers. Local business and technology solutions provider EOH recognises the benefits of partnering with world leaders in innovation and technology and is in the process of upgrading its Infor product suite.
After many years of Infor software deployed in the business, EOH is now implementing Infor LM, XM and Business Vault and ION across the whole group of more than 20 companies.
“The new products will allow better control and reporting across the group. Infor XM will help us to track the productivity and efficiency of our more than 6000 employees,” say EOH divisional finance director, Isabel Townsend.
“The upgrades will also allow us to standardise our processes and procedures across the group. The increased report writing and control functions will help in our decision making, providing greater knowledge of the different contracts with our various customers across the many lines of business.
“Infor’s drive to constantly innovate and keep up with changing trends and customer requirements is in line with EOH’s philosophy of always looking at better ways of doing things and changing things to fit our changing markets, making Infor a good fit for our organisation,” says Townsend.
South Africa’s largest dairy producer, juice producer and perishables distributor Clover also recognises the benefits of Infor’s modern ERP system. Clover employs the entire Infor LX suite of products and is in the process of upgrading to the latest version of Infor LX.
“InforLX is exactly the ERP software that suits our business,” says Clover Industries executive for supply chain and IT, Drikus Lubbe. Infor LX suits our industry well, so we don’t have to go through massive changes to obtain the benefits of added functionality. The latest upgrade is all we need. Clover services more than 10 000 customers a day, highlighting the importance of our ERP system to keep all these relationship running smoothly,” explains Lubbe.
“The FMCG market is a tough environment to do business in – profit margins are low – so you need to be in the forefront of process innovation in order to differentiate yourself in the market, and Infor has facilitated and accelerated process innovation over the last few years,” Lubbe explains.
“If people want to experience the modern face of ERP then I definitely would tell them they are going to get it with the Infor experience,” concludes Lubbe.
