Open source industry partners Obsidian and Red Hat will host a two-day event in October to discuss the feasibility of open source technology as an integrated IT solution for enterprises and the relevant decisions left up to CIOs. The agenda will include in-depth coverage of enterprise security issues and the realities of POPI legislation on operations.
The event is scheduled to take place on 29 and 30 October and will feature a number of presentations from experts and leaders in the technology industry.
High profile speakers lined up include Francis Cronje presenting on POPI – Cloud(y) days ahead; Chandima Miyanadeniya who will discuss how to protect company systems and information; Robert Marshall on revolutionising corporate communication; Sello Makhubela on implementing BYOD strategies; and Beza Belayneh will cover cyber-crime.
The presentations will be peppered with open discussion about several topics that continue to impact on the development and relevance of open source. These topics include document management solutions, taking control of your data the creation of winning IT teams.
