Wipro has announced that it has been positioned as a “Leader” in the first ever published Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Testing 2014, authored by Susanne Matson and Patrick J. Sullivan and published on 25 November 2014.Gartner defines “Application testing services” as a comprehensive term used to capture all types of verification and validation services for the purposes of supporting clients’ applications quality control and quality assurance (QA). Verification assesses the technical behaviour, and validation assesses the functional behaviour of tested elements.
The report evaluated 16 different software vendors on 15 criteria and placed Wipro in the Leaders quadrant.
According to Gartner, “The application testing service market, with a copious number of providers, is fast-growing. Full IT services providers and dedicated, pure-play application testing providers coexist in this market in which Gartner is aware of about 300 companies.”
