Leading provider of intuitive software solutions and services to the international mining sector, Micromine, is exhibiting at Investing African Mining Indaba, the world’s largest mining investment conference, 9 to 12 February 2015, Cape Town, South Africa.
Micromine is showcasing the latest versions of its entire suite of solutions at Stand 628 Main Hall.
Micromine’s Product Specialists will run interactive demonstrations at the Micromine booth and will discuss how to get the most out of the software in order to meet objectives faster and more affordably.
Demonstrations of the company’s namesake product, Micromine, will focus on the Implicit Modelling and Stratigraphic Modelling modules.
Micromine’s Implicit Modelling module is one of only a couple of true implicit modelling tools that use industry-standard radial basis functions (RBFs) to model and visualise grade shells, lithology boundaries, faults and surfaces in seconds.
The Stratigraphic Modelling module simplifies the creation of Seam Block Models (SBM) including splits, plies, overburden and interburden, even in complex stratigraphy areas. The revolutionary display helps validate and visualise complex seam hierarchies. Additionally, the smart tools handle seam pinching and missing holes, honour the original data and produce a geologically correct model.
The team will also be demonstrating Micromine’s ability to handle cloud point data with the use of uGPS Rapid Mapper Scanner.
The new features of Geobank Mobile 2 will be showcased including the ability to synchronise collected field data and logging profiles with SQL Server. This seamless communication between devices and head office means more efficient workflows, increased data confidence, and improved access.
Geobank Mobile enables users to easily collect and manipulate field data. The software ensures accurate capture with real-time validation and rich data input controls that minimise errors at point of entry. It maximises efficiency with customisable calculated fields, in-built data approval and transfer mechanisms.
Pitram 2015, the latest version of the world’s leading mine control and management system, now integrates with more third-party mining solutions including Sandvik’s Automine, Mine Site Technoloies Impact Vehicle Intelligence Platform and Loadman Systems. These integrations will provide personnel with a more complete and comprehensive understanding of a site and its mine activities.
Specialists will also demonstrate how Pitram’s surface fleet management capabilities have been enhanced through high precision machine guidance. Equipment operators will be able to perform activities such as drilling, excavation and loading more precisely, lowering dilution, avoiding equipment damage and ensuring objectives are achieved more efficiently.
