Atos has chosen CA Technologies to assist them to enable customers to fully embrace the opportunities presented by the application economy.
This will be achieved with the launch of a new and innovative Service Virtualisation and Agile Testing Centre of Excellence (COE). The new end-to-end “Agile Testing” approach allows developers, testers and performance engineering teams to work in parallel for faster delivery, higher application quality and reliability.
“Today, in the application economy, all companies face tremendous pressure to deliver higher quality applications faster at lower cost than ever before. This is why Atos has chosen the CA Service Virtualisation solution to help customers reduce time-to-market, lower infrastructure costs, mitigate contention for labs and deliver better overall application quality.
“Our approach enables Atos and CA customers to “shift quality left” in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC),” says Francis Meston, executive vice-president Global Consulting and Systems Integration at Atos.
The new CA Service Virtualisation and Agile Testing Centres of Excellence (COE) are designed to nurture specialised talent and drive research, whilst facilitating best practices and solution accelerators in these areas. Service Virtualisation is a critical component addressing DevOps challenges.
“Every business is becoming a software business as applications are often the face of the organisation, so quality and speed are both vital in the application economy,” says Eric Grotefeld, senior vice-president Solution Sales, Application Delivery, CA Technologies.
Andrea Lodolo, CTO, CA Southern Africa, notes that a recent survey revealed that 94% of business executives face increased pressure to release applications more quickly. “Our joint customers can benefit greatly from our global partnerships to gain new competitive advantage in a world powered by applications,” says Lodolo.
“Atos and CA Technologies joint focus is to bring to market a new end-to-end ‘Agile Testing’ approach that allows developers, testers and performance teams to work in parallel for faster delivery and higher application quality and reliability. These attributes are fundamental requirements for our customers and prospects to seize the opportunities created by the application economy,” concludes Francis Meston at Atos.
